THE
BROOKLYN BRIDGE
ARCHITECTURAL MODEL
These photos are of the Brooklyn Bridge Architectural model. This unique and beautiful structure was put together by 20 students from the famed Pratt Institute Engineering school to commemorate the bicentennial of the Brooklyn Bridge in 1976. It is 20 feet long, 16 inches wide, 5 feet tall on its base, and consists of over 10,000 parts. It has exceptional detail including lights along the cable spans, rail tracks, and miniature (working) trolley cars. It has been on display at a Museum in Yorktown heights and adorned the lobby of the main corporate offices of the View-Master Ideal group for a number of years. It is made entirely of metal, erector parts, and includes a wooden base.
